Imo APC Senatorial Candidate Rejects Poll Result

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the February 25 National Assembly poll, Prince Alex Mbata has rejected the result of the election in Imo East Senatorial District..

In a statement he personally signed, he disclosed that his camp was still reviewing the outcome of the poll.

He however expressed his profound gratitude to the people of the zone for the massive votes and support given to him during the poll.

The business mogul and philanthropist described the people of the zone as his pride, adding that his love for them is unprecedented.

His statement reads; “I thank you all from the depth of my heart, the Prince Alex Mbata Divine Mandate (PAMDM) Campaign Councils at all levels, our partners, supporters, the good and wonderful people of Owerri Zone.

“No doubt, I have always felt the warmth of your love and solidarity with me. I highly appreciate each of you personally spread across the zone.

The elections of the 25th February had come but not gone yet. We are reviewing the processes and the outcome.

“One thing is certain, Owerri Zone people desired Prince Alex Mbata (PAM) in spirit and in deeds. This is etched in the worthy antecedents that characterized my humble engagements with you over the years.

“I assure you of the truth and nobility of all I said during the campaigns. My words are my honour and my bonds.

“I stand by them and by the special grace of God, they shall come to pass. My ideas, vision and mission of a great and workable Owerri Zone remains alive and I am powered by the collective wills of our people who yearn for good and quality representation at the Senate. 

“The result of the 25th February, 2023 senatorial election in Owerri Zone does and did not in anyway, reflect the new prospects and possibilities we seek, neither did it reflect the love, aspirations and the new deal the good people of Owerri Zone seek.

“As we review the outcome, I urge you all to remain calm, peaceful and supportive of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“I call on you all to come out fully on the 11th March, 2023 to vote and elect all APC House of Assembly candidates in the Zone.

“Let us guide our parents, the aged, youths and everyone to vote for APC,  ebe esere aziza. This is the only noble path to toe to remain connected to the national political grid as evidenced with the victory of the APC presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to continue to support His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his great works in our dear state.
