Imo APC Chairman Loses Polling Booth To LP Candidate

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, MacDonald Ebere has lost his polling booth to the Labour Party in the February 25th general elections.

The result of booth 004, Mann Street Primary School, in Owerri Municipal Council shows that Labour Party polled138 votes to defeat the APC which scored four votes.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Zenith Labour Party garnered seven and two votes respectively.

A political scientist and leader in the state who preferred anonymity described the APC as the major problem of Nigeria, and commended Nigerians for voting out the party.

According to the party leader, APC and PDP created the problem Nigerians are suffering today.

He noted that the defeat of the APC in the polling booth of its state chairman is an indication that Nigerians are out to change the old order.

Our correspondent gathered that the APC chairman fled the venue of the election when irate youths in the Municipality alerted operatives of the State Security Service that he was sharing dollars to subvert the polls.

Recall that the APC chairman in the state, Macdonald Ebere boasted that he would deliver APC and its candidates in the 2023 polls.
