Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has announced the appointment of 217 new aides.
They include former Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Acho Ihim, a former member of the House of Representatives, Ernest Ibejiako and a journalist, Collins Ughalaa.
Also on the list of new aides are a former governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chima Anozie(Home Base) and a former factional Chairman of the APC in the state, Dan Nwafor.
The new appointments were announced in a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba.
Emelumba said the appointments are with immediate effect.
The statement further disclosed that Ihim will serve as Special Adviser(SA), General Empowerment/Poverty Alleviation while Chima Anozie serves as SA, Works.
It added that Ibejiako is to serve as SA, Legislative Affairs/Ecology (National) while Nwafor serves as SA Industrial Development.
According to the statement, Ughalaa will serve as SA, Public Communication.
Ughalaa, a journalist has worked in various media organizations.
He was the editor of the Turning Point Magazine, Lagos; Editor-in-chief, Business Insight newspaper, Lgaos and Editor, Zest Daily, Owerri
He rose to the position of Managing Editor, Zest Daily, Abuja, and Zest International Magazine, Abuja.
He was the poineer Editor-in-chief, Nigeria Moment Newspapers and later Managing Director/Editor-in-chief, Nigeria Spectator Newspapers.
Ughalaa had served as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe (now late) and former Governor Ikedi Ohakim. He was also SA Media to the Managing Director of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC).
