A group, Orlu Equity Forum (OEF) has faulted an online poll which the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Orlu State Constituency election, Paschal Okolie reportedly won.
The forum said the online poll was conducted by a faceless PDP-dominated online platform, adding that the result of the survey was manipulated and distorted.
President of OEF, Chidozie Anuebu submitted that the outcome of the poll neither represented the reality on ground nor translated to actual votes.
Anuebu further said that 95 percent of the respondents who participated in the ill-conceived poll are not indigenes or reside in Orlu Local Government Area.
.
Anuebu said; ‘’It is also evident that Labour Party and other political parties do not take the on-line voting serious because they know that it is not only flawed but subject to manipulation, distortion, faulty and politically motivated interpretation’’.
‘’Pascal Okolie should not deceive himself by thinking that the forthcoming general election will be like the PDP primaries where he bought his way.
“As far as we are concerned, Pascal Okolie whose performance as a lawmaker is nothing to write home about is not in the race. If he thinks he is in the race, he should start mobilizing his kinsmen in Okporo who have been ravaged and traumatized by insecurity.
The group expressed regretted that the Orlu lawmaker who is not campaigning in Orsu clan which should under normal circumstances be his strong hold because that is where he comes from now sleeps and wakes up in Isu clan.
The group called on the Orlu electorate to reject, distance and dissociate themselves from Pascal Okolie and cast their block votes for the Labour Party candidate, Precious Nwadike who they described as the best, most vibrant and qualified for the job.
