A traditional ruler in Imo State, Eze Oliver Ohanwe has absolved the state governor, Hope Uzodimma of any involvement in the spate of insecurity ravaging the state.
Eze Ohanwe spoke on Saturday at the civic reception organized by Okigwe people in honour of the governor.
The Chairman, Okigwe Global Elders Forum said contrary to the claim of opposition parties, the governor has no hand in the escalating insecurity in the state.
According to the traditional ruler of Ihim Ancient Kingdom in Isiala Mbano LGA of the state “people accusing you,(Governor Uzodimma) of masterminding insecurity in the state are economical with the truth.
“They are just playing dirty politics. Your hands are clean. You are just like what happened in biblical Job 1 vs 7 “and the Lord said unto Satan where cometh thou ? Then Satan answered the Lord and said from going to and fro in the earth and from working up and down in it,”. Up on all these temptations of Satan, certainly, the Lord has assured you of victory”.
The monarch revealed that Okigwe people are in covenant with the governor and have resolved to support his government.
He commended the governor for working harmoniously with illustrious sons of the Senatorial Zone namely Chief Tony Chukwu, Prof. Maurice Iwu, the Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Emeka Nduka, the Secretary to Imo State Government, Chief Cosmas Iwu and Dr. Ikedi Ohakim.
Eze Ohanwe reiterated the resolve of the senatorial zone to give the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma maximum support and cooperation because of love and compassion the government have shown to the area and her people.
