A community leader in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State, MacHycinth Muojekpe Uzomewulu has called on the electorate to reject non-performing elected public officers and reelect those who performed superlatively.
Speaking with newsmen in Owerri on Saturday, Uzomewulu urged the electorate to deploy their permanent voter’s cards (PVCs) to sack those elected politicians who failed woefully to deliver the goods and renew the mandates of others who lived up to expectations.
He also advised the electorate to bring on board politicians who have all it takes to effect positive changes in the society.
Uzomewulu popularly known as Macwulu lauded the administration of Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma for embarking on massive infrastructural and human capital development in the state.
He particularly commended the governor for the tarring of the Owerri-Orlu Road, Owerri-Okigwe Road and Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia Road and Orlu-Akokwa-Uga Road
He observed that the governor has shocked everybody by such performance despite paucity of funds and other challenges that would have provided a window for justified excuses.
He was also effusive in his commendation of the governor for holding the annual stakeholders’ meetings
According to Uzomewulu, the governor has restored the confidence of the people in the running of government business in the state through the annual stakeholders meeting.
The governor convened the 7th edition of the stakeholders’ meeting on January 5, 2023 during which they adopted him as their sole candidate for reelection in November 2023.
