Lawmaker Opts To Pay Fees For 5 Varsity Students

The member representing Ahiazu Mbaise Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Sam Otuibe has opted to pay acceptance fees for five students of tertiary institutions.

The beneficiaries are Jennifer Kemdirim, Ukadire Benedict Uzoma, Amaechi Ogechi, Nwokocha Emeka, and Obioma Innocent Udochukwu.

Our correspondent gathered that Otuibe while addressing the crowd at a carnival held at Nkwo Lude Market announced his intention to pay the acceptance fees of those who got admission but do not have money to pay.

The lawmaker subsequently requested those in such quagmire to step out.

He congratulated the five beneficiaries, saying the gesture is intended to spur them to work hard and excel in their studies.

According to him, he took the decision to support Amaraya Foundation in the area of educational development of the constituency and to lessen the burden on parents.

Responding on behalf of others, Obioma Innocent Udochukwu expressed their profound gratitude to the lawmaker for his kind gesture.

Udochukwu noted that the gesture would go a long way to enhancing their future and impacting positively on the society.

He also thanked the CEO of Amaraya Foundation, Amaechi Ogu for his philanthropic gestures which motivated Hon Otuibe to lend his support.
