The Ikeduru chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has suspended Hon Emeka Ihedioha’s close ally, Chief Bon Unachukwu over alleged anti-party activities.

Also suspended is Chief Paschal Uzo over alleged same offence.

In separate letters signed by the Chairman of the party in Ikeduru LGA, Hon Geoffrey Ihentuge, Unachukwu and Uzo were accused of urging party members in the area to work for the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Hon. Henry Nwawuba.

Nwawuba is the member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He is seeking re-election on the platform of the APGA.

Unachukwu and Uzo are said to be mobilizing support for Nwawuba instead of the PDP candidate, Dr Osmond Ukanacho.

Recall that Nwawuba resigned from the PDP before the party’s primaries and joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA.

It was learnt that PDP faithful loyal to Ihedioha in the federal constituency have also been working for Nwawuba as against the PDP candidate, Dr Osmond Ukanacho.

Party stalwarts described the action of the party Chairman, in the LGA, Ihentuge as courageous and timely considering the damage the anti party activities might cause the party in the forthcoming National Assembly election in the federal constituency.

Ihentuge said the suspension subsists pending outcome of committee report assigned to investigate their anti party activities.
