A United States-based Attorney, Dr. Libo Agwara says he would do all within his power to ensure that the Labour Party(LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi clinches the country’s presidential diadem in 2023.
Dr. Agwara disclosed this on Saturday, December 17, 2022 during the Obi-Datti Imo Youths Appreciation Day held in Owerri, Imo State.
The LP chieftain who donated a three-storey edifice in Owerri to the party enjoined the youths to cease being leaders of tomorrow but to take back their country today.
He also admonished all LP candidates to provide the necessary support to the youths to help them enthrone a better country by dethroning bad leaders through the ballot box.
Dr. Agwara later donated the sum of N5million to the youth wing of the Labour Party in the state.
Also speaking, the State Chairman of the party, Dr. Ambrose Onyekwere thanked Dr. Agwara for his continued support to the party and urged other stakeholders in the party to emulate him.
Earlier, the state Youth Leader of the party, Casmir Okorondu had appealed for assistance to the youth wing to enable them discharge their duties.
Okorondu noted that in the life of every nation comes a time its youths would disregard fear of intimidation and rise in faith and hope to liberate the people and chart a new course for the nation.
According to the youth leader, that time has come for youths to chart a new course for Nigeria.
About N11million was realized by the youth wing at the ceremony.
Other donors at the event were Nze Mike Ejiogu (N2million); Deacon Solomon Obaego (N1million); ,Chief Casmir Ebubedike (N1million); Capt. Emma Iheanacho(rtd) (N500,000); and Capt David Mbanara (rtd)(N250,000).
The rest were Anonymous (N500,000), Hon. Joel Okere (N200,000); Dr. Matthew Nwogu (N100,000, Col. Mrs. Chinyere Obi (Rtd)..N100,000, and Chief Kingsley Achife..N100,000.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Imo LP State Secretary, Sir Fab Uwaforo-Okochi, Woman Leader, Lady Amaka Chiegene, Acting State Publicity Secretary, Comr. Alvan Opara, Media Director, Imo PCC, Comr. Salvator Amadi, member, Imo LP Media Committee, Comr. Val Igwebuike, Chairman of Imo State Labour Party/Presidential Campaign Council Strategic/Technical Committee, Barr. Kingsley Ononuju, who represented Imo State PCC Coordinator, Ochoudo Martin Agbaso, PCC member, Comr. Nkechi Igogori, and Dr. Enyinna Alaribe.
