The Association of Bishop Court Students has clarified that the lady who was stabbed to death on Friday, December 3 was not a student of the Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri.

The group offered the clarification in a statement signed by its president, Oti Paschal and Secretary, Nathaniel Divine.

According to the group, slain Esther Agoha was living with her younger sister who is a student of the university and carrying out her Point of Service, PoS, business within the vicinity of Tripple C Hostel.

The group disclosed that Esther and the unnamed young sister had visited a nearby salon and were returning at about 8:00pm when they were accosted by an unidentified armed bandit.

It added that the hoodlum stabbed Esther on the hand and ribs after she and her sister refused to hand over their handsets and other valuables.

The statement added that her younger sister who fled the scene later ran back when she saw that her elder sister had been beaten and stabbed by the miscreant.

The group further disclosed that Esther was rushed to a hospital where she was confirmed dead having lost much blood from the different parts of her body where she had been stabbed.

While praying for the repose of her soul, the association urged the public to disregard any contrary report on the incident.
