The Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Emeka Nduka has charged journalists in the state to always engage in objective reportage of the activities of the state government.
Nduka gave the charge on Thursday while addressing the Imo Assembly correspondents who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

He noted that one quality that enhanced his emergence as the speaker of the 9th Assembly is not talking down on his predecessors, adding that he always prayed for their success,
He pointed out that God blesses people based on the purity of their hearts, saying that those in positions of authority should be prayed for.
The Ehime Mbano-born lawmaker therefore enjoined the journalists to pray for the success of the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma as well of the leadership of the Assembly.
He promised to provide all necessary logistics for the journalists to carry out unbiased coverage of the Assembly.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Assembly Correspondents, Ifeanyi Ihieakanwa of The Big Truth Newspaper commended Nduka over his emergence as speaker, describing it as a welcome development.
He described the speaker as a press-friendly person who had been nice to pressmen even before his emergence as speaker.
