The stage is set for the second anniversary celebration of The Oniion Newspaper slated for Friday, November 25, 2022 at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, Imo State.
A statement issued by the management disclosed that the ceremony will hold under the chairmanship of the Traditional Prime Minister(TPM) of Anara Community, Chief Mike Ejiogu.
The statement added that a lecture entitled; “The Devastating Effect of Fake News in the Contemporary Political Climate in Nigeria” will be delivered by Professor Okee Okoro of the Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri.
The statement signed by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Lolo Chioma Ogechi Njoku invites members of the public to join them click glasses in celebration of the impact which the newspaper has made so far.
The Onion Newspaper debuted in June 2020 in the thick of the global pandemic, COVID-19.
It is edited by Dr. Basil Ekweke, a former member of staff of The Champion Newspapers.
The Onion Newspaper is issued thrice a week -Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
