“Senator Anyanwu does not parade thugs and has never assigned anyone to act on his behalf. The purveyors of the falsehood are indeed culpable of the allegation.
“What actually happened as we gathered is that leaders, critical stakeholders and prominent members of PDP in Imo State were said to have boycotted a purported inauguration of a campaign council for the PDP Presidential candidate for criminal alteration.
“This is because as reported, those earlier nominated and approved as members of the PDP Presidential campaign council in Imo state were said to have criminally removed and replaced them with people of questionable character leading to the altercation.
“While the National Secretary of PDP, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu is working with some party leaders in the state to find a lasting solution to the minor disagreement, everyone involved is advised to remain calm.
“Senator Anyanwu therefore blames those directly and indirectly involved in tampering with the list, warning against such act in the future.
“He describes those linked to such criminal alteration as enemies of PDP and the party’s Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
“The public is enjoined to disregard the falsehood”.
