The Imo State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed the appointment of Professor John Cliff Nwadike as commissioner in the state
Nwadike’s confirmation followed the letter forwarded to the House by the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma to that effect.
Conducting the screening exercise, the Speaker, Emeka Nduka, called on the Deputy Speaker, Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, in line with the tradition, to formally introduce Nwadike to House.
In his presentation, the Nwangele born lawmaker, introduced Nwadike, a professor of history as an illustrious son of Isu LGA, who was born in 1963.
According to Iwuanyanwu, Nwadike is a senior lecturer at the Imo State University, (IMSU), an administrator par excellence and a shining star.
Iwuanyanwu expressed the hope that Nwadike would be a veritable tool in the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma, going by his academic qualification and wealth of experience.
He therefore, urged his colleagues to permit Nwadike to take a bow.
Meanwhile, Professor Nwadike has lauded Uzodimma for rebuilding the Imo House of Assembly Complex.
Nwadike gave the commendation while expressing gratitude to Assembly shortly after his confirmation on Tuesday.
According to him, Uzodimma has indeed demonstrated his commitment to infrastructural revolution in the state.
He described the rebuilt complex as a signature project.
