Umuobom Community in Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State has adopted the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Ideato Federal Constituency seat, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere as its sole candidate.
This decision was revealed during the Umuobom Clan Leaders’ meeting at the home of Hon. Sampson Ebbe.
The community has therefore joined the league of other communities who had thrown their weight behind Ikenga for the House of Representatives seat.
A reputable leader in Umuobom Community, Edward Achi in his remark at the occasion unequivocally stated that Barr Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere is unanimously their sole candidate, describing him as the only option for Ideato nation.
The political stalwart charged the people of Umuobom to vote for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which, according to him, is the only well accepted party in the community that doesn’t disappoint.
He stated that their votes belong to PDP and having a candidate like Ikenga in Ideato means that Umuobom will not waste a single vote on any other party.
Mrs. Blessing Onyeukwa, the PDP chapter leader in Umuobom averred that all the women of Umuobom will vote for Ikenga because they believe he will bring development to Umuobom from which their children could benefit from. She urged the women to give Ikenga their votes and full support bearing in mind the copious benefit they stand to gain.
On behalf of the young ladies of Umuobom, Ginika Obijiaku reiterated their full support for Ikenga, stressing that their votes are entirely for him.
On behalf of the energetic Umuobom youths ,Victor Chinedu inferred their unwavering resolve to vote for Barr Ugochinyere as he expressed great hope of positive results and massive development in Ideato with his effective representation.
Hon Sampson Ebbe, a political leader in Umuobom Community affirmed the resolve of a vast majority of people in Umuobom, to vote and support Barr. Ugochinyere, expressing great hope and enthusiasm in Ikenga’s victory.
He added that after careful consideration of all the candidates and their antecedents, Umuobom Community unanimously endorsed Ikenga knowing full well his antecedent and capacity in leadership.
Hon. Ebbe assured Ndi Umuobom of a new dawn of growth and advancement with Ikenga as their federal legislator and applauded his people for taking the right decision.
“The entire Umuobom Community has thrown their weight behind Ikenga and are committed to working for his victorious emergence as the federal legislator representing Ideato Federal Constituency,” he stated.
