The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Imo State, MacDonald Ebere has said the town hall meetings.being undertaken by the party in local government areas of the state are aimed at appraising progresses and challenges of members at the grassroots.
He said such appraisal will help in strengthening the party in readiness for the 2023 general polls.
Ebere spoke at the town hall meeting held on Thursday at the Township Secondary School, Umuelemai, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the state.
Ebere said; “We are here for you. To know how you are doing. To understand and appreciate your progresses and challenges.
“Before I proceed, let me ask you this all important question: will APC win in 2023? Will APC win Isiala Mbano in all levels of the 20220233 elections?
“As I indicated earlier, the Imo State APC leaders and other stakeholders are here today with you to know you better.
“It is a town hall meeting. Therefore, it is an interactive session where we talk to you, giving you goodwill messages from our performing governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and on the other hand, you tell us your challenges and problems.
“Again, we want to extract an assurance from you that Isiala Mbano is for Governor Uzodimma and APC. This is our mission and it is aimed at strengthening and preparing our great party in readiness for the 2023”.
In his welcome address, the Isiala Mbano LGA APC Chairman, Cyriacus Obichendu assured that members in the area would vote for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Also speaking, the Sole Administrator of the council area, Joe Frank Ijemezie said Isiala Mbano was APC compliant.
He said, “We are APC branded here. We are complete and comprehensive. What makes us unique is that in Mbano we have utility politicians who have the capacity to turn half chances into total victory. Therefore, we are going to deliver APC all the way”.
The APC candidate for Isiala Mbano Constituency poll, Sam Osuji said Governor Hope Uzodimma had demonstrated love to the people of Okigwe zone and Isiala Mbano LGA, through the reconstruction of Amaraku-Amauzari Road.
He pointed out that following the empowerment of youths and women in the area, the party would win in the council area.
The Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ruby Emele recounted the good deeds of Uzodimma, saying he deserves massive support from the people of the area.
The House of Representatives candidate for Okigwe North Federal Constituency, Miriam Onuoha assured of the success of the party in the forthcoming elections in the area..
Also speaking, the Imo North Senatorial candidate for APC, Patrick Ndubueze said Okigwe zone will vote for the candidates of the party in the elections.
He stated that Governor Uzodimma had put various projects in place in Okigwe that will make the people of the area vote for him and the APC.
He reeled out School of Engineering, College of Education and the rehabilitation of the Owerri-Okigwe Road as some of the projects of the Uzodimma Government in Okigwe zone.
