The Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) says it will no longer approve reversal of payment made into the Treasury Single Account (TSA) of the state government.
The service, in a statement made available to National Newsbreak at the weekend, therefore called for due diligence while using the POS Biller Codes.
The statement signed by the Interim Chairman, Lady June Chiaka Levi-Oguike urged all those making payment to ensure they are paying with the correct Revenue Head(s) and Sub-Head(s) into TSA to avoid errors in payment.
The service said the cessation of reversal of payment is with immediate effect even as it thanked all for their cooperation.
The statement reads; “You are by this notice informed that going forward, the Imo Internal Revenue Service will no longer approve reversal of payment made into Imo State Treasury Account (TSA)
“Sequel to the above, you are therefore directed to pay attention to details and apply due diligence when using the POS Biller Codes, and ensure that you are paying with the correct Revenue head(s) and Sub-head(s) into Imo TSA to avoid errors in payment.
“Note that the cessation of reversal of payment is with immediate effect. Thank you for your co-operation”.
