The Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has approved the appointment of June Chiaka-Oguike as the new Interim Executive Chairman of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service, IIRS.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
June Chiaka Levi-Oguike hails from Ogbuosisi Umuguma in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
She had her education in the United Kingdom..
Her first degree is in Business Economics and Finance while her Master’s degree is in International Commercial Law.
She has ample experience working in the investment banking industry, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and KPMG Professional Services to mention but a few.
She assumes the position with a wealth of experience.
A seasoned trainer and consultant, June Chiaka Levi-Oguike is a PhD Research Fellow with the UR/CST – World Bank ACE Project and is a registered professional with the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
She is the former Special Adviser to the Governor, Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma on Internally Generated Revenue.
June Chiaka Levi-Oguike takes over from the immediate past Interim Executive Chairman, Dr Ifeanyi C. Okeke who had been at the helms of affairs of the Service since February 18th, 2022.
The handover ceremony took place on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the IIRS headquarters on Okigwe Road, Owerri.
