It was also gathered that the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obowo Local Government Area where the outgone speaker hails from have not been according him the deserved respect and recognition as number one citizen in the area.
This development, it was learnt, caused disaffection and division between the leaders of the party in the area and the speaker hence the decision of the gentleman to kiss bye to the position.
A chieftain of the APC in Obowo Local Government Area who would not want his name in print commended the former speaker’s boldness and decision to resign.
He pointed out that the former speaker has shown the spirit of statesmanship hence the interest of the party is always supreme in a democratic setting.
According to the chieftain, the leadership crisis in Obowo APC could result in the party performing abysmally if the former speaker had not taken the decision to throw in the towel.
