The Chairman, Young Democratic Party (YDP), Imo State, Hon. Ejike Azubuike has been appointed Coordinator, Coalition for Good Governance (CGG) Imo State chapter.
The appointment was confirmed at the zonal meeting of the Coalition for Good Governance held in Owerri, the state capital on Saturday, September 17, 2022
The Southeast Zone Coordinator of the organization, Ambassador Japhet Anyanwu (Choco Milo) in his speech noted that he has the mandate of the national executive council to constitute state executives in the Eastern Zone .
According to him, some groups of political like minds decided to come together to form the organization in order to ensure credible leadership and good governance in Nigeria
He also noted that any candidate the group will support in the 2023 general elections must win the election.
According to him, they have capacity and the structures to ensure their candidates win the polls.
Anyanwu urged the newly appointed state executives to work with caution and dedication.
In his acceptance speech, the state Coordinator, CGG, Hon. Ejike Azubuike commended the national and zonal executives for giving him the opportunity to serve at the state level.
Azubuike stressed that Imo will continue to set the pace for other states to follow.
He further assured that his team will be gender-friendly and work without any bias or favour.
