President Mohammadu Buhari, has commended the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, over what he described as infrastructural revolution going on in the state.
Buhari gave the commendation on Tuesday in his address during a town hall meeting with South East leaders in Government House, Owerri. after inaugurating landmark projects executed by Uzodimma.
He hailed Uzodimma’s courage and capacity in constructing the Owerri-Orlu and Owerri- Okigwe roads, noting that previous state governments had avoided the two major roads.
The President stated that by achieving this feat, Uzodimma has lived up to his name-Uzodimma, meaning good road, pledging to support him in his bid to provide democracy dividends to Imo people.
Governor Uzodimma had earlier, in his address, thanked Mr. president for all his support to the state particularly in the area of security, saying that without his timely intervention, the state would have been taken over by hoodlums.
Uzodimma therefore, pledged to pay back Mr. president with loyalty and support in his drive to recover Nigeria.
President Buhari who was on one-day working visit to the state inaugurated the Owerri-Orlu and Owerri – Okigwe roads as well as the renovated Imo State House of Assembly Complex fully equipped with ultra modern facilities by Uzodimma.
