Entertainers, comedians and musicians operating under the aegis of Imo State Based Artistes (ISBA) have concluded arrangement to hold a “Love and Peace Concert in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The concert holds on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at City Chef located opposite Rockview Hotel, Owerri at 2:00pm.
A statement signed by the facilitator, Ugo Stevenson disclosed that the concert is part of the social corporate responsibility of the artistes in the state.
Billed to perform during the concert are comedians, poets, dramatists and On-Air Personalities (OAP) as well as celebrities.
Stevenson, a 2008 Nigeria Music Award recipient in the highlife category said the concert is aimed at evangelizing the community to embrace peace, love and compassion for one another.
He emphasized that Imo State needs sanity now more than ever, adding that the voice of the artiste is the greatest tool for spreading messages of love and peace in the state.
He expressed gratitude to the Imo Newspaper Publishers Association (INPA), Association of Imo Radio and Television Presenters AIR-TP and publisher of the Daily Nigerian Horn for their support.
Recall that Imo State Based Artistes event is also for celebrating art practitioners and patrons in the community. it is also used to raise funds for the practitioners.
ISBA also organizes events like Celebrating Art Patrons and Legends (CAPLEG); Celebrating Art Patrons and Ambassadors (CAPA); Imo Alive, Day of Laffta, Praisethrough and Smile Heartland Concert.
