Reps Seat: Oru East Pledges Support For APC Candidate

The people of Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State have pledged support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat, Chief Canice Moore Nwachukwu.

The traditional ruler of the community, Eze Philip O. Uzodimma made the pledge on Sunday, August 28 when the candidate visited his palace in Omuma, headquarters of the council area.

Eze Uzodimma, who is the elder brother to the governor of the state, Hope Uzodimma showered royal blessings on the candidate enjoining him to go forth and achieve victory and bring dividends of democracy to the constituency.

The Ononenyi 1 of Ozuh Omuma told Chief Nwachukwu popularly known as Omeogo that the people of the council are solidly behind him in his quest to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.

Earlier, the APC candidate, Chief Canice Nwachukwu had described his visit to the palace as a home-coming.

He solicited for the blessings and fortification of the palace in order for him to be able to navigate successfully to victory in the 2023 poll.

He stated that the Uzodimma family is his family, adding that he refers to the governor as his elder brother hence visiting to the palace which is manned by a member of the Uzodimma family is homecoming to him.

The Enyioha of Orlu Zone told the monarch that he would not embark on any campaign in Oru East Council Area whenever campaigns are lifted without first coming beforehand to pay him homage.

He said; “Your Royal Majesty, Eze Ononenyi, your son is back home, I have come to my second home to tell you what I’m doing, to receive the royal blessings and fortification from you; my elder brother before I proceed, your younger brother is here, your son and a son of this kingdom is here, please bless me”.
