The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has chided a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, Chief Dan Ulasi over his scathing remarks about the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.

The National President of the Council, Igboayaka O Igboayaka advised Ulasi to rid himself of the ‘old political mindset and embrace the new political trend in the country’.

Ulasi had in an interview submitted that Obi is not reckoned with in the North, South South and South West.

Igboayaka insisted that Obi’s presidential project has gone beyond tribal confines and therefore warned Ulasi to steer clear from the project.

He said: “It’s obvious that Mr. Peter Obi’s presidential project has grown above tribal sentiment or clannish projection. Mr. Peter Obi doesn’t need Igbo political elders like Chief Dan Ulasi who have eaten the future of Igbo youths to move with him on political consultation, neither does he need to ride on the same old political permutation to win the President of Nigeria”.

“Having witnessed and, as well, fought the Nigeria/Biafra Civil war with bullet wounds on one of his hands, Ulasi should be acquainted with the agonies of Igbo youths since 53 years of the end of the war, especially on the recent collapse of Nigeria by PDP and APC twenty four years(24yrs) in power is more painful than his bullet inquiry.

He advised Ulasi to redirect his quest for a job to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP’s presidential candidate and allow God perfect His plans through Obi, stressing that the Labour Party candidate’s project is being motivated by the teeming unemployed youths across the streets of Nigeria.
