Speaking at the event at Bongo Square, Owerri, the ISPPAN chairman, Onyeahialam Chibueze Lovers, highlighted the significance and importance of the celebration.
Onyeahialam noted that World Photography Day is an event celebrated on 19th August annually to appreciate and celebrate the art, science and craft of Photography all over the world.
He pointed out that the 2022 edition with the theme ”Pandemic Lockdown through the lens”, underscores the significance and importance of the lens, amidst pandemic lockdown, in the present day documentation of events and human history.
According to him, the art of Photography which used to be seen as a vocation or casual undertaking, has become a professional engagement for accuracy and illustration in the documentation of history.
