Frontline politician and businessman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has denied rumour of physical assault on his person by unknown gunmen.
He also denied that his driver was killed during the purported onslaught.
He made the denial in a statement issued on Tuesday, August 23 by his media aide, Been Osuagwu.
Chief Iwuanyanwu said neither he nor any member of his staff was attacked by armed miscreants.
The publisher of Champion Newspapers urged members of the public to discountenance rumours of attack on him.
He however prayed God to restore normalcy in the country.
The statement reads; “Our attention has been drawn to some rumours that unknown gunmen attacked our leader Chief Emmanuel C. Iwuanyanwu and killed his driver.
“We hereby inform the public that this is not true. Neither our leader Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu nor any of his staff was attacked.
“Our leader however prays to God Almighty that peace and normalcy should return in our land.”
