The 2023 presidential flag bearer of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has unveiled the new Imo State secretariat of the Labour Party ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Obi performed the tape-cutting ceremony on Saturday, 13th August, 2023, in Owerri, the Imo State Capital.
Declaring open the secretariat, the former governor of Anambra State said that Labour Party was poised to return government and governance to Nigerians in 2023, stressing that the country was in dire need of positive change.
He commended the donor of the three-storey Plaza located at No. 115 Wetheral Road Owerri, beside old Timber Market, Dr Libo Agwara, for his magnanimity, benevolence and support for the party.
Meanwhile, Dr Libo Agwara, the donor of Agwara Plaza to the party, has revealed the reason for his philanthropic gesture, saying that Labour Party will emerge victorious in 2023 general elections.
The Ngor/Okpala born resource person made the revelation while speaking to newsmen in Owerri, shortly after the commissioning of the office complex on Saturday.
According to him, most Nigerians desire real change for better life, describing Obi’s presidential ambition as a mass movement.
The US based lawyer also hinted that Obi Movement has sent fear and panic to the camps of other political parties in the country.
He further stated that the People’s Democratic Party which initially banked on votes from the South South ànd South East zones has lost the two geo-political zones.
About the ruling All Progressives Congress, the Mass Communicator said that the party has failed even before the election proper.
He stated that the APC has proven to Nigerians that it has Islamic agenda by fielding two muslims as Presidential and vice Presidential candidates, pointing out that all the principal officers in the APC and Buhari’s Government are Muslims.
Agwara maintained that Nigerians will show the party the exit door in 2023 general elections, making the electoral victory of Peter Obi and Labour Party, inevitable.
The property located at No115 Wetheral road, beside old Timber Market, was donated, free of cost, to the party by an American based resource person, Dr Libo Agwara, from Ngorkpala Local Government Area of Imo State.
