Imo State House of Assembly has adjourned till October 25, 2022.
The adjournment was announced by the speaker, Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh during plenary on Thursday.
Before the adjournment, the speaker eulogized the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for maintaining synergy between the legislature and the executive.
He commended the governor for utilizing scarce resources available to Imo State for great achievements.
The speaker praised the clerk, members and staff of the assembly for their dedication and commitment to duty.
He noted that the Deputy Speaker, the Presiding Officers of the House, and indeed all the members, have displayed high degree of support and legislative dexterity and responsibility.
In a motion on adjournment, members such as the Deputy Speaker, Amara Iwuanyanwu, Eddy Obnna of Aboh Mbaise-, the Majority Leader, Kanayo Onyemaechi, Dominic Ezerioha of Oru West, Ngozi Obiefule of Isu Constituency, described the speaker as exceptional and a driver of the House with a licence.
The members said that the speaker, Kennedy Ibeh, has changed the narratives of by bringing on board legislative experience from which the House members have benefitted from.
